Os Arrais

André and Tiago Arrais are a pair of brothers and pastors that compose and sing to the glory of God. I'm in love with the music style (A kind of folk acoustic). And the content of the songs is totally biblical, and they do it with grace and simplicity. They actually live in the U.S. The first album "Introduction" was an independent production.

The second album "More", had the support of Sony Music and the participation of the beautiful Daniela Araújo. This album reached number one on Itunes. About this album they say "The songs are very transparent and exposes our weaknesses and difficulties".

What makes me like their music is that there's not only the Bible words in the songs, but the application of it in our day to day. About that they say better than me "Most gospel songs have Biblical "information" , and it is this "information" that are being considered "evangelical" songs. Information doesn't transform, but knowledge of God, which comes from time in the Word, time applying the Word in life, vulnerability of God's revelation, transforms. So, if our definition of "Bible" for Bible knowledge, which comes from study, application in life, time, yes, it lacks much in music today. My brother and I have a basic rule to compose our songs: never write a song that doesn't contain a story, a song that we can not explain. This helps us to not write songs just to write. If we don't have anything to say, we don't write it".
